“Leftists circa 2008 Sounding Remarkably Like Missourians circa 1844″

Considering the admonission last conference to utilise the internet as an additional source to demonstrate the truthfulness of the gospel, I for one am writing to the NY times to debunk this article.

Also, props to Lauren Palmer for motivating the Michelle Malkin to write this post.

I’m trying to figure out a constructive way to express my distaste for the hypocrisy demonstrated by a vast majority of liberals, gays, and “alternative” thinkers. It’s ultimately frustrating to me that when conservative leanings are expressed, liberals cry that their freedoms are being taken (while stealing pro-prop 8 signs), say they’re being discriminated against (while beating up people who are pro-prop 8), and claim conservatives are a bunch of bigots (then threaten to burn down “effing” churches and murder pro-prop 8ers with their bare hands). Regardless of how one felt about prop 8, the backlash has been inappropriate to say the least.

I would also like to point out that it wasnt “the Mormon Church” that donated millions of dollars to defend marriage, it was church members who donated money to express their support for something they believe in. That’s a huge difference. Since gays can donate to whatever they want and hold parades to their sexuality, I don’t see why LDS people should be threatened with having their churches burned down because they donated and advertised for what they believe in. Also, as the article Lauren wrote to pointed out, “Since blacks and Latinos voted overwhelmingly for Prop. 8, I fully expect to see gay zealots marching onto South Central and East L.A. and threatening to burn down houses and businesses there”.

Amen. I love how ‘the Mormons’ are taking so much heat for the passing of Prop 8, when just as many, if not more non-Mormons voted too. And not just in CA. Every proposition to ban gay marriage in other states passed as well.

Again, such a great lesson today. But maybe next time you could throw in a little more about Caribbean models. Or outer space.

    I’m horrible.

You know, I did consider writing this post with a voice that reminded me of a Caribbean verison of Arnold Schwarzenegger. I also considered giving 5 minutes of awkward stand-up as a pre-empt to the meat of my… wait, no, no meat, just stand up.

The only thing that could have made that talk even more…interesting.. was if he had gone into detail about the revealing outfit.
