Moses has confirmed that he knows Andy and I by sight. Upon signing him out of the vet’s this morning, the vet’s assistant told us that she had been unable to administer Moses’ oral suspension of painkiller because of his violent hissing and biting. She led us to his little cage, where he was indeed hissing rather repugnantly at her. As soon as his orb-eyes spotted us though, it turned into a mounful meow. How validating. Moses is now stumbling around our house in slightly bloodstained bandage booties, making me sad.

The 7am part was kind of painful but wasn’t quite as bad as a gentle, quiet Moses morphing into a howling beast as the vet’s assistant removed him from my arms to neuter and declaw him. When he returns tomorrow, I will feed him Fancy Feast and prove that inspite of my dog-loyal dog-liking, I have become ridiculously attached to the cat.

There’s something admirably risky slash potentially scary about girls that pick a degree program based solely on what they enjoy rather than with a career plan in mind. It’s like they knew they’d be able to be a housewife rather than a career monkey. Which means that they knew they were going to get married in most cases. Not to say that women who want a career don’t think they’ll ever get married, or that a career is a sub-par passion to homemaking, but still. Takes guts. If I’d have known I was going to meet Andy this young as opposed to power into a graduate program, I might have done something more creative.

American’s love to make fun of British peoples ‘gnarlier yellow teeth’. Well, anything’s gnarly and yellow when you put it next to a laser bleached piece of veneer. Anyway. Andrew was responding to this article, on the differences between the fake-white hollywood smile and the mangled, ivory grin of someone like Ricky Gervais. He somehow forgot that the American Government has had flouride in their water circa 1970, and decided that British teeth are nasty because we don’t know how to brush them…
“Brits should just start doing what Americans do, brushing their teeth and going to the orthodontist as children if it is necessary and within an individual’s budget. A few hundred years ago tooth decay and rot were a leading cause of death. You only come with one adult set so why not take care of them?”

In a continuation of his silver-tongued campaign, Obama tried to volunteer the information that he was against infanticide….. interesting, considering his voting record on partial birth abortion rights. (Although I’d hardly call the death of a neonate ‘abortion’. Considering it’s a head-length away from having legal rights at this stage, I think it’d be more appropriately termed ‘murder’). Lauren brought this to my attention. It’s a blog of a nurse in Illinois exposing Obama’s blatant lie. Note the fact that Michelle Obama thinks the partial birth abortion ban is “clearly unconstitutional”. Coincidence that Russell M. Nelson (a Dr) wrote an article entitled “Abortion: Assault on the Defenseless” in this month’s Ensign? Don’t think so, lad.

Then again, PETA aren’t exactly known for their hilarity. Eugh.
